The other day I was contemplating why the Ten Commandments has "Thou Shall Not Covet." Murdering, stealing, committing adultery, honoring parents, observing the Sabbath, not taking G0d's name in vain, etc. -- those are all actions. Coveting is not an action; it's a feeling, an emotion. Then it dawned on me: A lot of the world's human evils stems from the emotion of covetousness (= envy).
I've also made the observation that to be an illiberal/Democrat is to willingly violate the Tenth Commandment. Virtually all Democrat policy is motivated by envy of others, and is sold by Democrats to the American people by appealing to their base feelings of envy.
