Black Race Pimps: I'm Callin' You Out!

The always outspoken Tea Partyin' Lloyd Marcus calls out black race-baters in this American Thinker piece:

This news story totally infuriated me. Headline: Van Jones' Political Group Targets 'Celebrity Apprentice'.

"An African-American political advocacy group is targeting "Celebrity Apprentice" star Donald Trump in the aftermath of what many feel are racially tinged political comments made about President Obama.

On Thursday, the organization ColorOfChange launched a Twitter-based campaign to persuade black "Celebrity Apprentice" cast members Star Jones and Lil Jon to denounce Trump for what the group terms "race-baiting."

One point: This is a Reuters news article. Why was this "ColorOfChange" organization not labeled "left-wing" or at least "liberal"? It is clearly so, and if a conservative-leaning organization was mentioned, they would definitely have called it thus. And why did Reuters not note that, as Marcus points out, ColorOfChange is the advocacy group of former Obama czar and openly Communist Van Jones? If, say, Sarah Palin was the head of some conservative advocacy group, you think Reuters would have left that out?

Now here's Marcus's retort/rant:

I am so sick of these racist so-called civil rights groups bullying people with race. It is an indisputable fact that the liberal mainstream media exempted presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama from the usual vetting process of one seeking to be elected Leader of the Free World. Obama's skin color trumped everything. ...

I watched a black intellectual on TV shilling for Obama. He used a plethora of big words to cover the simple school yard truth that he was a black bully racist, committed to Obama no matter what. Sounding extremely intelligent, the black racist was spouting lies and illogical stupid conclusions. But man, did he sound "smart."

Liberals do this all the time. They have a basic emotion-driven dislike for America and all of the traditions and values which have made us great. They hide their disdain for America under a shroud of intellectual mumbo-jumbo; spouting crazy stupid nonsense which sounds above our ability to understand. I call it, "Intellectual Stupid Speak."

My fellow Americans, racism is ugly and evil. Most Americans agree and reject it. So, when I see black race pimps like the ColorOfChange using race to bully people, it turns my stomach.

And, something else that truly annoys me. The black community is not a tribe with chiefs dictating our monolithic opinion. I ask that these disgusting race baiting organizations please stop running around proclaiming they speak for "the black community". I am black. They do not speak for me.

Here here, Mr. Marcus!

Let's see this radical left-wing race-mongering group defend Herman Cain when he starts getting racist slurs hurled at him by the real racists in this country: the Left.

Minimum wage harms those it is designed to help

Economist (and -- gasp! -- black conservative) Walter E. Williams hits another one out the park debunking one of the Left's biggest myths: that raising the minimum wage helps poor people. From yesterday's Washington Examiner.

The best way to sabotage chances for upward mobility of a youngster from a single-parent household, who resides in a violent slum and has attended poor-quality schools is to make it unprofitable for any employer to hire him. The way to accomplish that is to mandate an employer to pay such a person a wage that exceeds his skill level.

Imagine that a worker's skill level is such that he can only contribute $5 worth of value per hour to the employer's output, but the employer must pay him a minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, plus mandated fringes such as Social Security, unemployment compensation and health insurance.

To hire such a worker would be a losing economic proposition. If the employer could pay that low-skilled worker the value of his skills, he would at least have a job and a chance to upgrade his skill and earn more in the future.

Minimum wage laws have massive political support, including that of black politicians. That means that many young black males will remain a part of America's permanent underclass with crime, drugs and prison as their future.

This is so freaking elementary that only a class-warmongering liberal wouldn't understand it.

That American Jews can no longer rally around Israel is a tragedy. But it would be a far greater tragedy if those Jews who identify with the Jewish state and are comfortable defending it continued to let ineffectual communal organizations speak for them.

GOP Presidential Debate in SC: And the Winner Is ...

Herman Cain! Well, according to Frank Luntz's focus group he was. Big time [via Gateway Pundit]:

I have to say, having watched this debate on Fox News tonight, I think Cain did fantastic. He was as straightforward, hard-hitting, and determined as he's ever been. He just held himself well and addressed all the problems he was asked about with well-defined solutions.

I have to admit I would consider the runner up to have been Ron Paul. I am not a fan of this man; too libertarian (domestically) and isolationist (internationally) for my taste. But he is too an eloquent and principled speaker.

Very telling, by the way, that Mitt Romney was not at this debate. Neither was Newt Gingrich.

In any case, we'll see what the polls look like over the next few days now that this first debate is over.

Erick Erickson over at RedState also considered Cain a winner, alone with Tim Pawlenty (yaawwwwn, oh sorry).

I don't know about you but I've spent way too much time and, unfortunately, wasted effort taking on giddy Obama-worshipers who, like Obama himself have yet to give the Bush administration one shred of credit for the OBL capture n' kill, when the plain truth is Bush and co. deserve most of the credit. That plus the fact that the same people heaping praise on Obama were the same people demonizing Bush for implementing the very tactics that Obama used to catch bin Laden.

The Great One did his share, coming right out the gate swinging on his Monday evening show. Here are two hours from condensed into 38 minutes. Obama and the left have been shameful; Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc. have been vindicated. And neither Mark, nor I, is going to let any WOT-protesting leftist forget it.

OBL's Death a Victory for the Adults

To sum it up, everything we as conservatives believe about our country's defense, the War on Terror, interrogation, special ops / black ops, Gitmo, and the realities of the world was validated. Our ideas won. Our tactics won. An enemy we never hesitated to call out was killed.

Everything liberals believe about the same was defeated. They are trying to take credit for a win in a war they never acknowledged with tactics they openly hate. With a childish liberal in the White House, that may not be evident to much of the country at the moment. But I predict it will be. Facts are facts. The adults won. The kids were along for the ride kicking and screaming. ...

There are also certain events for which Obama does not deserve credit. It was Bush-era intelligence that led to Bin Laden’s death, gathered via methods Obama ripped time and time again, and which led to threats of prosecution for those who gathered it; it was Bush-era institutions like Guantanamo Bay, which Obama attempted to shut down, that allowed such intelligence to be gathered. It was the U.S. military that planned and operated this operation, not the White House. It was Bush who initiated drone strikes in Pakistan; Obama wisely followed course and upped the ante. Yet Obama mentioned Bush only once in speech, and there it was merely to cite him in support of the proposition that America is not at war with Islam.

Liberals don’t believe any of their own ideological garbage enough to actually live it. They just believe it enough to try to make your life hard by making you live it.

If they really believed their pap, they’d be crying tears for Osama Bin Laden. They’d be pining away for the injustice. They’d weep for the rule of international law and Geneva conventions that were violated. They would be wearing their pink shirts in front of the White House and yanking out their boobies in outraged protest at the gross violation of a sovereign nation’s borders.

But they don’t believe it. And they’re not crying. And those lack of tears tell you everything you need to know about the emptiness of the left’s ideology and rhetoric. It’s useful for political purposes. It’s useful to beat up Republicans. ...
