Part II - House
Part III - Governors
As I write this El Rushbo is on telling his listeners not to be bummed about not winning back the Senate. But I can't help but be disappointed by the detestable Harry Reid's holding on to his lofty perch in Nevada.
Harry "The War Is Lost" Reid retains his seat??? What is up with that? Sharron Angle is a decent, respectable, hardworking, and accomplished woman and it is an outrage that the people of Nevada rejected her in favor of this slimy and treasonous piece of excrement who has overseen a state with the nation's highest unemployment and foreclosure rates.
Also disappointing and infuriating is the loss of Christine O'Donnell to Chris "The bearded Marxist" Coons in Delaware. Guess the Democrat-media complex got what they wanted: They traded in their integrity and honor and instead used their power to character-assassinate this decent and accomplished woman. And they got their guy in.
And in Connecticut, Dick "I have no idea how to create a job" Blumenthal beats the intelligent and successful Linda McMahon.
So don't give me this crap about the Republican Party being anti-woman! In three high-profile Senatorial elections the Republican candidates were smart, honorable, accomplished women. And what did the Democrats do? They chose the white male.
What else? Oh yeah: The arrogant and pompous Barbara "Call me Senator" Boxer defeats Carly Fiorina and keeps her seat in California? What the hell are they thinking? Forget I asked. (We'll talk about the governor's race below.)
But the piece de resistance of a failed GOP Senate win is Alaska. Having heard conservative Republican Joe Miller on various radio shows, I can say honestly that he would have been a fantastic Senator. Instead, the spoiled brat Lisa "my daddy bought me my job" Murkowski got back at the Republican citizens who rejected her by writing herself in as an Independent - and once all the write-ins are counted, she'll most likely end up winning. Bitch.
Currently, in Washington State, Dem Patty Murray has a razor-thin lead over GOPer Dino Rossi with about 2/3 of the precincts reporting. But I have a feeling the Democrat, who actually send illegal aliens door to door to campaign for her, will keep the seat she swiped in 2006.
But we did have some important victories in the Senate:
- Mark Rubio destroyed his Obama- and Clinton-endorsed competition in Florida,
- Kirk miraculously squeaked past Giannoulias and took Obama's old seat in Illinois,
- Toomey luckily beat Sestak in Pennsylvania,
- Feingold gets f**ked by Johnson in Wisconsin
- Boozeman boots Lincoln in Arkansas,
- Ayotte won handily in New Hampshire,
- and the libertarian, Tea-Party-endorsed Rand Paul took Kentucky.
So, big yay for that.
Gotta put the lil' one down for a nap. Stay tuned for my House rant next!
