You just can't make this up. Last week at a press conference, about a dozen black conservatives met with reporters to try to convince them that the Tea Party movement is not racist. This group of brave proud Americans included Lloyd Marcus, author and blogger Kevin Jackson, radio host (and possible '12 presidential candidate???) Herman Cain, and AlonZo Rachel of PJTV's "Zo Nation."
Amazingly, despite the fact that you have these black luminaries, the lib media types would not believe them! They kept pressing and pressing and pressing.
One of the best lines of the conference came from Zo at about the 1:20 mark. A reporter wondered why black Congressman John Lewis' word wasn't good enough when he claimed Tea Partiers spat on him and called him n***er (despite evidence to the contrary from several videos and $100,000 still sitting in Andrew Breitbart's bank account). Zo's initial answer: "Why wasn't George [W.] Bush's word good enough?" Bing!
Another good line was from Lloyd Marcus. At the 6:15 mark he took to the mike and said: "The purpose of this press conference is to introduce to all of America to all of these conservatives. Like every time I talk to the media, they're saying, 'Where are the blacks? Where are the blacks?' Well here's the blacks!"
The bottom line is this: The Democrat-media template is set. "The Tea Party movement is racist!" meme is not going to change. Even when you have about a dozen black conservative Tea Partiers, who together have attended and spoke at hundreds of Tea Parties, swearing they have not experienced racism, it makes no difference. It's simply politically beneficial for the Democrat-media complex to keep the lie alive.
Shame on all of them.
UPDATE: Lloyd Marcus himself just posted another video clip from the same conference, from a different angle.
