Back in October I wrote about how liberals—who constantly accuse conservatives of banning everything they don’t agree with (remember the Sarah Palin book banning lie?)—are actually the ones who are quite experienced at banning everything they don’t agree with.
One example from that October post was the following:
Just this July at Purdue University, a student employee was slapped with a racial harrassment charge by the Affirmative Action (read: We’re looking with a magnifying glass for the racist that lurks within the depths of every single white person on this campus -- and your tax dollars are paying for it!) Office. Why? Co-workers saw him reading a book called Notre Dame vs. the Klan: How the Fighting Irish Defeated the Ku Klux Klan. For those of you who tend to vote Democrat, let me explain. The book is “an account of a 1924 incident in which a group of University of Notre Dame students fought in the streets with members of the Ku Klux Klan.” But the co-workers saw the words KKK and filed a racial harrassment suit. These are the politically correct morons running our universities.
UPDATE: Andrew Marcus at Founding Bloggers has informed us that the student employee, Keith James Sampson, has been found guilty of racial harassment—all for doing nothing but reading an anti-KKK book during his work break that some idiot co-workers thought was racist.
And an idiot panel IUPUI (whatever the hell that is) convicted him. They are extremely stupid and extremely dangerous people.
(There’s also a video of the story at the link provided above.)
Marcus adds:
A finding of racial harassment is no small matter. Once that is in a student-employee’s permanent record, it can follow them around forever. Even though Keith was completely exonerated of any wrong doing and the university apologized to him, that is small consolation considering a Google search of his name immediately returns links to this whole sordid mess. Certainly more than one of Keith’s future employers might take the time to perform a Google search. That should make for some interesting job interviews.
So watch what you read in public. It could get you convicted of a harassment crime. The nutjobs are definitely running the asylum.
And the next time some liberal/Democrat tries to paint conservatives as the suppressors of free speech, tell them this story. Next time some liberal/Democrat tries to revisit the false story that Sarah Palin tried to ban books at an Alaska public library, tell them this true story—which not surprisingly is nowhere to be found in the mainstream media.
This is the future under liberalism.
Hope and change, my mindless little sheep. Hope and change.
