The website that this supposedly ingenious and clever poster originates is called FrighteningProspect.com. This site’s home page has the following quote:
“The problem for Palin isn’t ambition, it’s hubris. A more grounded politician would have put in the work to match their aspirations. That Palin hasn’t done that bespeaks a tremendous, even scary, overconfidence.” — Ezra Klein
Funny, that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking about Barack Obama for the past year and a half. Exhibiting a little projection, are we, Mr. Klein? But as Dennis Prager often notes, self-awareness is not liberals’ strongest quality.
Incidentally, one of the pages on this anti-Palin site is entitled, “Super Fun Sh*t!” Wow, you know these liberals get classier and classier every day.
About the latest example of liberal/Democrat tolerance and open-mindedness, Little Green Footballs says succintly:
The media keep yammering on about John McCain and Sarah Palin’s imagined “subtle racism,” but they’re silent about the ugly, in-your-face demonization and hatred you can easily find everywhere Obama supporters hang.
And Rick Moran at the American Thinker blog says:
But don’t forget. It’s McCain/Palin who are spreading hate, right? ... I don’t think liberals have this whole “post partisan” thing down yet, do you?
From the party that promises to unite the country again? The party that vows to end Republican divisiveness! Suuuuure!
This exemplifies perfectly one of what Michelle Malkin recently described as the four stages of conservative female abuse:
The third stage of CFA is demonization. When the Left tires of hurling whore insults, it turns conservative women in the public eye into nefarious creatures. Bill Maher called Laura Bush “Hitler’s dog.” George Carlin attacked Barbara Bush as “the Silver douchebag.” A Huffington Post website member wrote of Nancy Reagan: “Like her evil husband, she has lived far too long. Here’s hoping the hag suffers for several weeks, then croaks in the tub.” Another added: “I feel no pity for the bitch who took delight in watching thousands die of a horrible disease and watching the poor having to eat out of dumpsters because of her husband’s political beliefs.”
True to form, rumors of Palin being a crypto-Nazi surfaced on the Internet and the fringe media. And liberal critics used her gun-rights record to smear her as bloodthirsty.
And it’s not just women that liberals/Democrats have sought to demonize. It’s the Left’s modus operandi:
Most Republicans, however, take attacks like this in stride. For instance, at the radio and TV correspondents dinner in DC in April, Dick Cheney recounted how he once asked his wife at the breakfast table if it bugged her that people call him Darth Vader. She answered, “Not at all. It humanizes you.”
