Yes, you read that right.
And so do Veep Biden, Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), N.Y. Governor Andrew Cuomo, and scores of other people -- almost all (il)liberal Democrats.
Because if this Detroit great-grandmother didn't have her 9mm pistol on her today -- which Cuomo has just banned, which Feinstein is trying to ban, and which Obama's two dozen executive orders seeks to ban -- she very well might have died. Or at least, have been roughed up and had her purse snatched [h/t Gateway Pundit].
You see, the anti-gun zealots that occupy the highest offices in the nation would have us believe that the Second Amendment caused the Newtown, CT massacre.
Which, of course, it didn't. A morally deficiant maniac with a couple of French Fries short of a Happy Meal who stole his mother's legally registered gun (already a crime on the books), murdered her (already a crime on the books), transported the weapons to a public school (already a crime on the books), and murdered 27 innocent adults and children (already a crime on the books) caused the Newton, CT massacre.
The Second Amendment doesn't endorse, sanction, or even cause gun violence. Despite what any (il)liberal demagogue who has disgustingly exploited the Newtown massacre will tell you.
However, infringing on citizens' Second Amendment rights will cause violence (with any weapon) and even death. Because with every Newton or Aurora or Tucson or Virginia Tech there are thousands, maybe even tens of thousands, of law abiding citizens who saved their or others' lives thanks specifically to their right to bear a firearm. A human right that your friendly Democrats in power are chomping at the bit to unconstitutionally take away from you. For your own good, of course.
This brave great-grandmother was able to defend herself today.
Thanks to Barack Obama and his voracious horde of gun-banning zealots, she -- and hundreds of millions of other Americans -- will not be able to defend herself tomorrow.
It is rumored that President Golden Calf will be yet again exploiting the Newtown massacre by having some victims' parents in attendance at his upcoming SOTU address.
This woman, or the thousands like her, should be there instead.
