We heard it from the left on 4/15, again on 9/12, and once again yesterday: All these tea parties and all the government-run health (s)care protests are just angry old white men showing their racism, racism, racism.
After all, what's with all the old white people?
Well, first off, if there were a lot of old people, it was most likely because (a) it was a Thursday and younger people work, (b) older people tend not to have young kids, who would have had school yesterday (unless you're from NJ like me, in which case your kid was probably off. It's a Jersey thing; you wouldn't understand), and (c) old people have the most at stake if ObamaCare / PelosiCare passes.
Why were they mostly white? Because blacks (a) make up 12-13% of the U.S. population, (b) Obama and the Congressional Democrats got over 90% of the black vote, and (c) not all blacks who are against government-run health (s)care were necessarily able to come to D.C. yesterday either because they lived too far away or because of all the reasons in the previous paragraph.
But for those of you who couldn't help but notice all the old white people at yesterday's D.C. rally -- and you know who you are! -- these pictures are for you. A big thanks to Free Republic friends for allowing me to use their shots:
And in case these still shots don't satisfy you, refer to these video clips from the 9/12 D.C. Tea Party (here and here).
There. Happy now?
Now can all the Jeneane Garofalo's and everyone else on the left stop the smear that Tea Partiers and government-run health (s)care opponents are racists? Someone recently reminded me that spreading lies like that is called l'shon ha-ra "wicked tongue".

"The Constitution Is Fair And Balanced."
It doesn't get any better than that.
