Aww, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhucks. There go those stubborn facts again!
Watts Up with That and Gateway Pundit (among others) have the story.
As I've asked before on this blog: If the science is sooooo settled and if the debate is sooooo over, why do global warming alarmist constantly have to exaggerate, lie, suppress, and "emotionalize"?
(That's a rhetorical question.)
UPDATE 8/22:
Randall Hoven at American Thinker quips:
The party that loves to campaign against the "politics of fear" peddles fear of everything. That's because fear works, and they know it. However, when they do it, they don't call it "fear." They call it, when caught red-handed, "emotionalizing."
Obama: "I think there's no doubt that we've been dominated by the politics of fear."
Al Gore: "There is an 80% chance that the entire north polar ice cap will be completely and totally gone in the summer months in as little as 5 years...it's gonna disappear... it's not a matter of theory or conjecture."
Gerd Leipold, retiring Greenpeace leader, when asked about a Greenpeace claim that the arctic ice sheet will be gone by 2030: "We, as a pressure group, have to emotionalize issues and we're not ashamed of emotionalizing issues ... I don't think it will be melting by 2030. That may have been a mistake."
