I'm not going to say much about the 10th anniversary of this horrific event; I'll leave that to the pundits and commentators. What I would like to say is my prediction for statements by the media and Democrat public officials, i.e., get ready for all liberalism all day.
In this case, prepare to be bombarded with slanted stories about the need for more gun control! Gun control! We need more gun control! Racists! Hate-mongers! All those Obama-haters are getting guns! (Of course, liberals/Democrats who associate the Columbine shootings with the lack of adequate gun control can't seem to explain why there aren't several Columbine-style shootings a week, a month, a year, a decade ...)
They might even pull Michael Moore out of whatever vat of french fry oil he's been lounging in so he can repeat the lies and myths perpetuated through that sad, sad movie of his.
And on Earth Day two days from now, get ready for the annual capitalism-bashing and America-bashing.
In other words, today won't be remembered as a day that a bunch of truly disturbed high school kids did really something bad. It will be a day for Democrats to politcize, sermonize, moralize, to push the latest issue on the liberal agenda, and to trash Republicans while doing it.
Just like they did with 9/11 and the War on "Terror." (Come on, what other reason would Obama have the "torture" documents be declassified? Certainly not for national security! It's just to get back at Bush.)
Just like they did with Christopher Reeve and Michael J. Fox. (Government-funded embryonic stem-cell research)
Just like they did with Hurricane Katrina. (Republicans are raaaaaacists!)
Just like they did at Paul Wellstone's and Rosa Parks' funerals.
